Today, the University Judicial Board determined findings and issued sanctions related to two matters: the disruption of Butler Library in May 2025 and the encampment during Alumni Weekend in late May of 2024.

Today I write to you, specifically, about our ongoing efforts to combat antisemitism. There is no place for intimidation, hateful language, or 
targeting of Jews or Israelis at Columbia, and we have zero tolerance for this behavior.

Today, I am thrilled to announce the first round of research stabilization funds awards.

We have established an information hotline, (866) 819-7006, that members of the University community can call with questions. 

To be clear, Columbia University remains accredited.

Last week, we reported a technical outage. While the investigation is ongoing, we have restored our operations.

As summer unfolds in earnest, I’d like to offer a brief update about our status with the federal government.

We take the issue of antisemitism seriously and are continuing to work with the federal government to address it.

We have no record of this individual ever being on Columbia’s campus. 

Columbia must be a place where everyone feels safe, supported, and respected.
