Millie Wert
Millie Wert joined the Office of Public Affairs as assistant director of media relations in 2024. She came to Columbia with nearly a decade of experience at public relations agencies, starting at MP&F Strategic Communications in Nashville, Tennessee. While at MP&F, she served clients in a variety of industries including education, healthcare, law, transportation, and real estate. She also worked on a number of award-winning campaigns, including BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee’s opioid epidemic awareness initiative, which received Best of Silver Anvil from the Public Relations Society of America and a Global SABRE Award. In 2023, Millie moved to New York City and joined Momentum Communications Group, where she led client teams, developed media strategies, and provided crisis counsel to local and national nonprofits in education, mental health, and disability services.
Millie earned a degree in strategic communications from Elon University and completed the Columbia Publishing Course. She lives in Brooklyn and spends her free time adding books to her library and cheering on the Nashville Predators hockey team.
