Christopher D. Shea

Christopher D. Shea is the Director of Science and Technology Communications. He writes and edits stories about research in AI, biology, health, physics, quantum, climate, and campus life; helps lead university-wide editorial projects; and connects faculty to global media. Previously, he was a Robert Bosch Foundation Fellow in Berlin, reporting for German broadcasters ZDF and Deutsche Welle. Prior to that, he worked for The New York Times in London and reported across Europe. He holds a master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a bachelor’s with honors from the University of Chicago.
