Managing Media on Campus

Robert Hornsby, associate vice president of internal communications in the office of communications and public affairs, Lucky Tran, director of science communications & media relations at CUIMC and Emerald Currie, interim assistant director for event management, discuss best practices working with journalists, reporters, videographers, photographers and documentary filmmakers. They also discuss what is needed to acquire media permits and the importance of communicating 5w’s regarding the media opportunity that must be shared with the campus access group. This workshop took place on October 15, 2021.
